How do I prepare my items for storage?
Gather all of the materials that you need such as cartons, packing paper, bubble wrap, sealing tape, and marker pens. Make sure to clean and dry your belongings before packing them up and try your best to condense your items to save space. To ensure that your boxes stack without collapsing, try not to overpack or underpack. It’s also important to wrap fragile items up in sturdy paper and bubble wrap and label each box accordingly.
How do I prepare furniture for storage?
It’s important that you consider climate controlled units if you have furniture to store. Any exposure to humidity can damage your furniture and cause warping, staining or musty or discolored fabrics. You should also make sure to cover your furniture with plastic and gather bubble wrap, packing paper and sealing tape. Disassemble parts and wrap them and cover all glass to avoid scratches and nicks.
